Snow day?

Head on over to Smashwords.com for a viral sale, sorry pun!  Since the world is having a perpetual snow day, now is the time to catch up on (or rediscover) reading!  At least your mind can get out whilst the rest of you is stuck at home, enjoy!

With nothing better to do!

Since life is canceled indefinitely due to concerns of contagion, what a great time to read!  I just published the ninth volume in the Greylands series, find it free on Smashwords, apple, or B&N.  While the world is panicking, why not find a little hope for this life and more importantly, the one to come!  Also, this one has short stories, long stories, and everything in-between, not just 3-4 novella length tales, enjoy!

'Tis Lent!

A few years back my sister gave up pants for lent (she wore skirts!) which I thought was weird, as the whole point of 'fasting' during lent is to give up something that you really like to remind yourself that 'from dust thou art and to dust thou shalt return.'  Thus giving up broccoli for lent would not be an appropriate exercise as I hate the stuff.  My sister really likes skirts and she's not Christian, so that's that!  Then there's the whole rainbow glitter movement, which mixes rainbow glitter with the ashes on Ash Wednesday, which is supposed to be the beginning of a season of contemplating our mortality and sinful nature and the cost of our redemption, a day of mourning and solemnity, instead we're going to joyously celebrate a modern lifestyle choice which is antithetical to the traditional teachings of the movement?  Alrighty then!

I don't personally fast from anything, in fact this time of year I tend to get obsessed with (or perhaps possessed by?) certain music, often a particular song, that I can't get out of my head and have to learn on the piano and vocally and then torture our long suffering community with at our community Good Friday service.  This year's choice is 'King of Kings,' (Hillsong), go check it out and enjoy!  Though some modern observers of this season might perplex me, at least they are still writing music that gets right to the heart of the matter and reminds us that no matter how society or culture may change or appropriate certain things, the Truth, 'will not kneel, will not faint!'

A plethora of plot lines...

So I'm currently up to my ears in plot lines, half finished tales, and stories awaiting their end.  At least I'm in good company, for it seems Tolkien himself had many such orphans when he died, as did Jane Austen with her 'Sanditon,' which ironically the mini-series may end on the same note as the unfinished novel upon which it is based!

Pre-sale?, and a boxset in a pear tree and Jace...

So Smashwords has some new gimmick called a pre-sale, here's the link if you want to check out the early release of 'The Complete Book of Ellipses and Tea."  I'm not sure it is all that exciting for no name self-published authors, but it is basically a pre-order with immediate fulfillment, though I'm not sure what the advantages are over just releasing the book immediately!  It's the box set of the Tea books along with the short cross over novel featuring Jace from the 'In Shadow' books.  Enjoy!

Projects...

I don't know what will happen with my crossover story 'Of Tea and Shadows,' I thought a short story, or maybe a novella, but it may turn into a stand alone book!  I know you can't wait, but we'll see how long it takes me, in the meantime you may want to brush up on both series!
