Hear ye, hear ye!

The new book is out, 'Shadow of a Doubt,' at all your favorite retailers, though there is a free coupon at Smashwords if you are one of the first 25 purchasers!  I have also updated the Greylands and In Shadow box sets to include all the books in those series and I believe I have finally put all my books on Amazon, though the price is usually better (or free!) almost anywhere else, enjoy!

News to somebody?

I'm working on another Shadow book, I know I've technically 'finished' the series, but in this day and age of prequels, sequels, and alternate realities, what is that to me, especially considering the very nature of the Shadow?

Oh, that she had lived!

The guy who brought us Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy is at it again, apparently he's attempting the impossible, namely to finish Jane Austen's final work, 'Sanditon.'  Find the news blurb and preview here.  I've read some pretty awful Jane Austen sequels, so I am wary of anyone messing with the 'canon' but if anyone can, I suppose this gentleman can be trusted, but then I thought the same of Tolkien: the 'Lord of the Rings' movies were amazing, the Hobbit not so much, and those were finished works.  But whatever comes of the movie, you should at least familiarize yourself with the book itself, here.  It begins so very well and ends just as it might get interesting, oh that she might have lived to finish it!  While the plot isn't very exciting (what Austen novel is?) her social wit cuts like a knife.  Enjoy!

Summer is fleeting...

I hope you've read something, for fall is nigh, but it's not too late, even if it's only the philosophical maundering of Garfield the Cat, go read thee something ere the summer is o'er!

You choose

Remember those 'choose your own adventure books?'  You got to decide what the character did and went to a certain page to find out the result upon the story.  Don't you know that every book is a 'choose your own adventure?'  Albeit you can't choose the ending or what the character does at a certain point, but you do get to choose your genre, your story, your character, your adventure.  Feel like some high seas adventure: Moby Dick or Horatio Hornblower or Treasure Island.  A trek into the disquiet future: Cat's Cradle or Brave New World.  Space, history, fantasy...anything your heart would desire and more!

Les Miserables

PBS has a new Les Miserables mini series out, I've only seen half an hour of it (without any sound or close captioning) on a recent flight, but it looks good.  Go see it, or better yet, read the medium length book!
